Good, I love seeing the look on people's faces when they think they should just walk away from you but you end up beating them. Thoes are my favorite type of races!

see i thought the miata effect was something else. Like one time i was on the highway cruising with the top down and i see this miata fly up from behind me and pull next to me, the guy made some hand gesures, a wavy a thumbs up and another wave. So i was like uhhhh ok and then the guy took off. The back of his yellow miata was covered with gay pride and rainbow stickers

I thought "Miata effect" referred to something good, like how it drives and takes the twisties like a Miata.

You know, I hope one day one of you guys pulls up against a supercharged or turbocharged Miata and get a new hole ripping.

I have to defend the Miata because well, I had one. Granted, they are abit anemic from factory as far as power is concerned, but with 8-10psi, the S is no match for the 2400 lb car putting down 200whp.

I didn't take it as an insult to the Miata.

I think some of the people that race the S with slower cars are just young and screwing around. We were all there once, right? When I was 16, I remember this weird looking Renault LeCar that left my A1 GTI behind like it was stopped because I didn't know what the R5 Turbo2 was.

It's really strange. I call this the S2000 effect.

But any S2000 I meet up with on the roads refuses to do anything but the speed they were already doing when we notice each other.

So we both end up just having a race from 70-72 mph.

Iono how well a sc'd miata would do against a sc'd s2k as well! 2800ish with 300 to the wheels :-p
