My buddies Modified 225 hp Audi TT got pulled!
By an S2k last night
If my friend reads this he will probably kill me.
Last night we were cruising for a bruising and lost to two races
First one was to a G35 (6spd) with exhaust, intake and lightened flywheel. My suspicion was he was on the squeeze the way he pulled us in 3rd gear.
Anyways, on our way back from the nudie bar, we ran into a Silver S2k with rims. The car otherwise looks and sounds bone stock. So on, the guy was really cool and wanted to race us.
First race was off a 2nd gear roll, we put about 2 cars on him and he crept up to the TT's rear bumper, but doing over 100 mph on the streets, we shut down.
Next race was from a launch. TT jumped (AWD) and S2ki spun, bad. By 3rd gear the S2ki passed us with authority, my friend was so pissed.
3rd race was on a 2nd gear roll again, and again the S2ki passed us with authority.
My guess is that the TT was severely heat soaked from all the racing on the BLVD.
Now, let me add the TT is not stock. He has a chip upgrade running heavy boost, almost 2 bar and exhaust and down pipes. On a good day he will keep up with my car and eventually get pulled. For some reason, last night the car wasn't running so good, my buddy said it seemed fine; but my butt dyno says otherwise.
Anyways, we both agree we are taking my car tonight No heat soak issues
Unfortunately, my friends bad driving habits puts my already high mileage clutch in danger.

Whatever he's running, if he's got a stock K04 turbo running over 18-20psi... have a spare engine handy. It's mostly inefficient boost anyways without a sufficient intercooler so the turbo is doing nothing but sucking more hot air into the manifold.
