My S2000 Vs. A 360 Challenge Stradale

Just one quick note Steve and Alex....
I agree with you about being fair stock to stock and all......but...
Isnt the 360CS a race version of the 360.....
and the amuse s2000 is a race version of the S2000....
The only thing is....one is done by its own manufacturer, and one was outsourced.
Would if be fair if the Amuse s2000 was done by Honda, and not amuse....?
My question is....if you want to do REAL stock to stock.....
How would and s2000 fair against a stock 360?

Actually, without knowing what source he is referring to the only Amuse vs Ferrari and GT3 comparison I can think of is from a Best Motoring video -- which had a regular 360.
It should also be pointed out that the BMW M roadster has beaten both the S2000 and NSX in a BM video -- as has the Integra Type R which gives you a good indication as to the validity of their results.

A stock S2000 is no match for a even a stock 360. The fact that the driver of the 360CS, in the original post, was not bold/stupid enough to push his $200k+ car on the street doesn't mean that the S2000, which was obviously pushed harder, can keep up with it.
As far as the Amuse S2000 vs. the 360CS, i'd still pick the Ferrari to be quicker, especially on a more open course like Fuji Speedway.
Come on guys, I love my S2000, but it's no supercar like lucky Steve's 911 Turbo. (bastard) j/k

I hope no one here is dumb enough to think that their 35K honda is remotely in the same league as the Ferrari???
I love toying around with 996 Turbos and a pasta rocket here and there, but I know my place in that food chain.
The 360, while a great car, and is def on my dream to own list.....
Is very close to the s2000 in terms of performance....especially on a tight course.....
It is heavier than the s2000 (the M3 is faster than the s2k, but handles A LOT worse....and dont look at numbers, drive them. The s2k is MUCH more nimble and responsive)
The 360 also doesnt have a lot of TQ. Its def. faster....but do you think it would rape an s2k like say....a GT2?

If the S2000 came with a trim comparable to the Amuse, then yes, it would be fair to compare it with a 360 Challenge Stradale, but because Amuse is an aftermarket tuner, there can be no comparison on the criterion of stock performance.

for all of you that think the s2k is faster than the 360...
come on out and visit sometime or come over at an event when i have the 360 (contrary to ricks belief that i will even bring the s2k to an s2k event) and i will let you take a short blast on an open road and you will see the difference.
a good driver in an s2k will likely beat a bad driver, or one that does not know it is a race, in a 360. when i had my old s2k (before putting in the SC), i stayed ahead of a 360 challenge for one event, but that was her first time in that car and she was learning how to handle it. next event we were at she had been at several other sessions and was lapping me twice in a 20 minute session.
equal skill it is not a contest. the weight difference is not that much and the 360 has 160 hp more.
after all, how many people here claim the pull a car length on a stock s2k after putting on a CAI which is good for what, 3 hp?
