Default My02 Vs Celica Gt-s

I have heard a lot of talk about this car lately on the board so when I was out this weekend I went looking for one. Found one I did and intake and exhaust were the only audible and visible mods. It was black and lowered to the ground. Literally. I pulled up next to him and waited to here him rev up a gear. He took the bait. I jumped on it and left him. Maybe he was an auto or just couldn't drive but I left him like he was standing still. My friends proceeded to do the same. The driver finally gave up and moved into the slow lane. I will give him credit for whatever revs he went to it was up there. But I was not impressed at the car. It didn't have the guts that all the talk was about. Sorry guys but maybe next weekend I will find one of these 14 second rides.

I am learning to use spell check.

I own a Celica GT-S and they are absolutely no match for an s2000. I don't know what you are reading about it or from whom, but it's 60hp shy of our s2k's, and while it's a couple hundred pounds lighter, it doesn't stand a chance. Don't waste your time.

Yea, I got ahold of a GT-S with the action package and exhaust, possibly intake mod. Nothing worth mentioning there.

I'm sure Celica's mod fairly well...what would it take to get one into the low 14's? Typical bolt-ons won't do it? Just curious...

There is a thread around the forums that discusses some Celica GT-S that run low 14's with just exhaust and some other little stuff. If they do they don't run well on the freeway.

I would think it would take a lot to get into the low 14's. FI I am sure, they are high 15 sec cars to begin with.

Celica GT-S's are pretty slow.. Even my Porsche would pull hard stock.. I never raced a S2k but I am sure it be pretty close (190 rwhp stock) and now I am slightly modded
