silver...The trap on the EVO was like 104 or so, highest was 106. I know everyone bashes the gtech so im not saying thats what it runs, but I did manage very consistent times with it.
wannabuy...what was the sr20 in a Sentra or 240? A friend of ours has a turbo Sentra and its freakin fast. It pulls away from our EVO pretty good and I know our EVO can take our S. Also I dont know all the info, but our buddy could also only go up to 115, he was limited by the ECU. This guy was making in the neighborhood of 270 whp and the Sentra weighed 2500lbs. Anyways, thats good driving against the Celi...

Well, the MY02 GTS had the fuel cut set at 7600 RPM while the actual redline was 7800. This is crucial for the car being very hard to land on the second cam in 2nd gear. In order to land on the second cam in 2nd, you would have to shift at the fuel cut at 8300.
I felt the car was deceivingly fast. However, this was way before my s2k but the S2k pulls much harder. That doesn't mean the GTS is slow. It is a high 14 second car stock. Check SCC. 0-60: 6.5 and a 1/4 mile: 14.9.
IMO it is still the best Celica ever (GT4 is very close but I mean performance and looks). Toyota definitely saved the best for last with that car!! It will be missed. Shame on you Toyota!!!

yeah its sad that toyota is ending the celica and MR2's life. What a shame. I just hope the next generation of toyota will be quick. but yeah, the 2002 celica gts are dog slow. Toyota decided to change the fuel cutoff on it to 7800 due to people misshifting and then in 2003, they put back the fuelcutoff of 8300.
I think GT4 and the latest celica are close...I however like the potential of the GT4 turbo, Too bad toyota didn't boost the celica or else it would be one mean car.
