Default New 335 on the freeway.

Ran into a new BMW 335 on the freeway tonight on my way home from work. It was dark and aside from the paper tags I couldnt see any badging at first glance. He rode behind me for about ten minutes till some of the congestion cleared up and I wound out 3rd only to notice him right on my tail giving chase, I slowed back down and he continued to follow for another 5 minutes or so before making his way beside me- gave me a thumbs up and creeped by me. I got behind him hoping my headlights would illuminate his badging- I still couldnt see if it was a 335 or just a new bodystyle 3 series so I got in the lane to the right of him and crepped along side- sure enough it was a new 335- He had to have known I was checking his ride at that point- and he got on it, I quickly dropped a gear and gave chase- he had to brake after a short run but not before I reeled him in at the top of third. I have to admit- that car can move, and it looked sharp too.

With that said I cant wait to see what BMW does with the new M3- Its going to have to be insane to distinguish itself as the King of the 3 series- It might be my next car

I heard the M3 turbo rumor too. The more solid rumor I've been hearing is the new M3s (E90/E92) are supposed to have a V-8 with 415 some-odd HP, based along the design of the M5 V-10. But, who knows at this point.

Regardless, the new 335i rips..... serious power potential with simple mods. They absolutely boom and I can't wait to see the M3.

Good runs.....I can't wait to supercharge.

The next M3 will not be FI...it will be a NA V8 based on the current M5/M6 motor minus a couple cylinders.

The 335i is just a tad slower than a stock Vortech w/AC S2000.

The car is a beast though, easy to mod. XEDE already released their stage 1 kit that already put down 360+ whp and 400+ wtq.

It was a sketchy pull- its not like we lined up on an open section of the highway and turned em loose. I will say the car moved pretty well from what I saw, when he got on it he was about a car length in front of me in the middle lane and I was reeling him in pretty quickly at the top of third when he had to hit the brakes because of a car in his lane. Ive ran E46 M3s before and Id have to say they are probably pretty close in comparison. Hopefully Ill run into him again and we can have a legit roll. I think Id have a 2-3 car lengths if we could pull thru a few gears.
