Newer Camaro SS VS S2k
Ok so here's the story i pull up to a red light, and here comes one of the newer mean sounding Camaro SS's w/exhaust. I figure he's gunna blow me out of the water, but i mine as well see how i do. Light turns green and we both take off pretty much by second gear he's a lil more then a car length ahead. Maybe due to a misshift on his part by the end of 3rd gear i narrowed his lead to half a car length. So i got beat by and SS 
...... BUT ONLY BY HALF A CAR LENGTH. Maybe it's cuz of the misshift but i DON'T care, I LOVE MY CAR, my baby did great.

camaro ss... u will hang with him only 2 gears after that he should keep gaining.. ls1 engines r strong. Maybe he was a bad driver.
One of my friends raced a modified camaro ls1, My friends car is supercharged and few other minor modifications.. It was over for him when the race started... Camaro put like 4 car lenghts by the end.
Well after the race, Camaro guy was like oh i thought S2K was real sports car... So we invited him to race on some twists and turns and some curves.. he was like NO NO .. let me get an audi TT and then i will race with your s2k . It was just sad for him to admit that s2k will take on a camaro ss on twists and turns.

I have yet to ride in an LS1, but a close friend of mine has an LT1 and he's told me straight forward "our cars are about even matched on the straight away, but no way can my car (his LT1) handle as well as you guys (local S2000's) on the turns"

That's what I thought - I can't picture a Camaro to be anything close to a hanger on a road like the Dragon or any of the other canyon carvers.
