Raced a Olds 442.
 

My friend's father has a gold Olds 442 not sure of the year but it is very nice. He is a great guy and drive the car all the time. He asked if I could take him for a ride in my s2000 and I did. I never really got on it but he thought the S2k was quick. When I dropped him off back at his house he asked if I would race him. I won't launch my car for fear of doing damage to the car so we went from 15 mph. The starting speed was his choice. We decided to go on the third honk. When I hit the horn the third time he just took off. He put about a car and a half on me immediately. As soon as I got to 6 grand I was pulling on him and the time I shifted to third he was about 1 length back. We ran to about 90 mph and shut down ( I didn't want him to think I'm a maniac). After the race we went back to his house shook hands and talked cars. It was great, Old vs. New / Domestic vs. Import / Youth vs. Experience. Just a friendly race, the way it should be. Guys stop the hating and get out there and have fun. :)

It's likely a 1972. My friend had a gold 442 with white stripes and his/her console shifter. 455 cubes of american muscle. My friend's car was actually very quick on the roll. Good race.
