Leaving from work I run into the guy that bought my 300zx (z32) and he wanted a rematch with my S2000 since last time I devastated him an he blew his motor on the way home from getting ripped..

So I'm like okay whatever.. Thinking he got a TT swap in it.. So we drop down to 60mph (3rd gear) the interstate and I let him take the hit.. Instantly start pulling the half car jump that I gave him and continue pulling until I let put at 120 (driving topless + cold) with about 2 buses between us.. And he stays in it.. Passes me and keeps going.. Now I backs out because it was pointless to continue and he pulls next to me and asks if I was "topped out".. I told him no and that I can do 157.. But it's pointless because at 120 you are 6 cars behind me.. And you won't catch me..

So anyways.. I asked if he had anything new since he swapped motors.. He said no.. I reply "you shoulda got them turbos".. And he says.. "ben is home.. I'm sure he'll bring it out to whip you right quick".. I know I should lose to one but being the previous owner of a NA z32.. I always wondered the difference.. So we drive to Ben's house and he obliges to race me..

I take off and pull a car length before he starts pulling me after I go into 4th.. And catches me by 5th.. (says he couldn't hear my horn.. Don't know how neither of us have exhaust) so the next run I let him honk..

Back to the interstate.. 60mph.. 3rd gear.. 3 honks (him)

3rd gear we were dead even.. Shift to 4th at 80 and he pulls a little.. 4th to 5th he was a car and gaining..

Shut down at 120 a car and a half to 2 cars back..

He gave me props on my car for being basically stock and making considerably less hp and holding him off like that.. Apparently he didn't think s2000 ran like that.. I knew I wouldn't beat him but it was worth a try..

I'd probably get him from a dig with this cold weather hurting his traction..

I use to have an NA 1990 (z32) 300zx with nitrous, and it was decently quick. The TT's are no joke, and even faster if an NA swaps to a TT motor due to the gears. I wouldnt be to sad since a 300+hp car with a V6 TT beat your NA 4 banger. Good run!

my z32 was a 90 as well..

i wanted to tt swap that car so bad.. but i couldn't afford to dump all that money into a car that was only going to break time and time again..

and i wanted to have a s2000.. so i got out of the z and upgraded!!

Haha thats exactly what I did. I was so close to paying $3500 for a whole TT front clip with everything needed to do the swap, but didn't want to put all that money into it since it was a cheaper car. I wanted something a little newer and reliable, so I sold the Z and got my s2k. I do like s2k a lot better, but there are days when I miss that car.

Meh.. Mine was a grimlin..

I don't miss it at all.. But I do see it all the time since I sold it to a guy that lives in my area.. I do miss some of the times I had with my Z though.. It was a fun car..

I hate the fact that I keep getting summoned to race it.. So I doubt I'll race against it anymore
