There are some pretty good conversions out there - I've seen them! So, maybe the driver was giving it the business and that it didn't have the guts of a GT3 because it wasn't one?

Then again, with all the money in Hong Kong, it COULD have been a real GT3!!
That is a real GT3 as I can tell since I heard the engine sound of that car and it is the same as other real GT3.
The rims of the car and the straight line acceleration also proved that's the real stuff.
I used to be a PCA member in US and had deep understanding about porsche.

Even with all the money here in HK, GT3 is a much rare car to be seen in Hong Kong. The ratio of seeing a stook to a GT3 is about 6 to 1 and there is only about 50 stooks in HK.

I wasn't sure about it's authenticity - that's why I 'had' to pose the question It is a well known thing that (in Australia anyway) that some Asian's care way less for performance than they do looks and image. That's why they are happy to go overboard and plaster their car with stickers and spoliers but the car is only a base Civic or something.

Then again, many Asians LOVE performance and take it WAAAAAY more seriously than the Americans. Look at the Jap tuner cars with 1000+hp...go to a Japan Auto Salon.....look at a typical Japanese parking lot. There are always fast cars to be seen!

I was in Kowloon in January 1999. I went to 'tuner alley' and saw a nice number of 'heavily worked' Japanese cars - as well as an AMG Benz! The mods were think and plenty. I was in heaven!!

All I can say, is THANK GOD for the Orient!! If it weren't for the Asian car industry, we'd be stuck driving domestics. Urggggghhhhhh!

Willecoyote - you should feel VERY lucky that there are only 50 Stooks in Hong Kong. Keep well my friend
