I was driving down the street and I saw a benz being driven pretty agressively. All I saw were HID's shifting lanes. The guy passed by me and ended up getting caught at a light. I rushed to catch the red as well. I almost came to a complete stop before the light turned green, I was goind about 5km/h. I started off strong but not flooring it because I didn't know if he would bite but I heard the motor on the benz go for it so I nailed it. I had 1 car on him because of my rolling start and by the time I shifted to 2nd he was beside me and into 3rd he had 2 cars on me.

Watch out for the E55's because they are quick.

The E55 wasn't even trying.

I've lined up my S2000 (cams/I/E/H/TB) with the E55 dozens of times and every time the E55 put buslengths on me, at any and every speed.

If the E55 only put 2 car lengths on you into 3rd (~65mph?), I'd say the guy was only at about half-throttle.



Either that or it was an E500.

 

the E500 is not that quick alex....easily smoked by a well driven s2k...and esp since he got the head start

 

The only time I'd say easily smoked is E55 vs. S2000.

I had one tail me through traffic a month ago and when he got a chance he pulled up next to me for a little while. He was looking over at me and the road was clear, I went to downshift for the hell of it, and he stomped it and all I heard was that blower sucking in air, and he was GONE! It was unreal, something I am not used to seeing from a big luxury car like that. Seriously the sound of that thing was awesome, I think I could live with that daily driver. Why he was out picking on NA 4-bangers I dunno.....

 

I had an 03 E55 Benz (W211, 470hp, 520ft-lb)... I kept up with two 600cc bikes from stop to full throttle all the way up to like 120mph... The two guys were so amazed, they didn't know what to say to me at the next light.

They're quick alright. I've taken a Mustang Cobra quite easily at high speed from 80mph and other "little" cars very easily like S4's and CLK55's.

I don't know what to say about this story. I'm not calling BS, but I certainly am thinking of it.
