S2k vs Cobra Jet vs 87 Mustang SC
Went to DPA to hang out w/ some friends that i actually met at DPA, most if not all own American muscle cars.
Well they well urging me to race the SC'd mustang so I did. to make story short
I launched my car at 4 grand and I still was spinning 1st and 2nd thanks to my "street slicks" so was the mustang, but he regained a bit quicker than me taking a .75 car lead, and it stayed like that almost to the end where he pulled the whole car length. I thought he was going to murder but he didnt. This thing was cammed up and supercharged, sounded good. Hes talking about making lots of power but I dont know he should ve owned me bad then...
Second race w/ the cobra jet, the owner very quickly comes out and says this car is a mid 12 second car, are you near those times? i told him i dont know so we went for it. This time I launched at 3500, but once in second I was spinning again, the cobra jet is now 1.5 cars to 2 ahead of me, but I kept that distance all the way to the finish line which I thought wasnt a bad run. Had I had traction it would have been a lot closer. Now his car is a mid 12 second car? so must be mine then
but it looks like american muscle ruled this time.
And John ( HJZ, if thats correct) You were right, there is a scale that you can just hop right on. My car weighed exactly 2800 w/ a little bit more than 1/8 of gas.

Doh, I wish I went there tonight but the freaking weather channel said rain.
Yeah that scale is handy, I'm 2880 with a full tank of gas and miscellaneous crap in the trunk.
You shoulda gone from a roll.

Nice runs. There are some pretty fast V8s out at DPA.
BTW, where's this weight station?

O'neil losing weight is gonna be tough. If you don't mind spending money, get some lightweight seats and spoon wheels. That's like 30 lbs right there.

It's off of DPA, it's the street after the big "Hero" sign. And on that street it's the first opening on the right. Look carefully.

plus bald tires also help you spin the crap out of the tires themselves
