Default S2k Vs G35 again..

Im sure you all know the result, and have heard such stories a billion times, but on my home today from work. I spotted a black G35, which still has temp tags on it. G35 took my favorite exit which has a very deep turn and I was on his rear very closely on the turns ( I know stupid, but this is the best characteristic from the S)...man S2k is really an awesome car. I could see a lot of understeer from the G35 on the deep turns. So as soon as we got off the exit, i floored it. G35 was left behind by 10 cars (Well he wasnt racing ) then a few minutes later the G35's hid's were getting closer so i slowed down and went into the right hand lane to give way to him. As soon as we're even, I looked at him and we both floored it, my only mistake was I started @ around 75-80 mph @ 4th around 6k rpm from what i remember so VTEC engagement wasnt where i wanted it to be compared to starting @ 3rd at a slightly lower speed. So anyway we were pretty even for a while (VTEC LAG..lol) and as soon as I hit 8krpm in 4th gear....I was slowly gaining on the G35 ..around 6th gear It wasnt even funny. So after smoking him by about 4 cars at least, i guess the G35 owner let go.. only to attempt the same thing again. G35 tailgated me again .Im like OK why not, G35 went into my right side again and we gave it another go for abt 1/4 mile, this time I dwonshifted to 3rd gear around 7.6k rpm and smoked him by 2-3 cars . Driver rolled his window as we slowed down..and were saying something..all i heard was "How can I.. "..lol i just gave him a , and the owner didnt do the same and sped up..

BTW I still love G35's still and is one of the few choices i have for my next car.

you went Vtec in 6th? on a city street?
How can you have enough running room?
also, driving that fast on a city street at night is probably not the best decision.

Not to sound rude, but why dont you go on an rsx forum ask these questions and stop posting on here so much.

Damn dude that was pretty rude. Give the dude a break the rsx is the cousin to the s2k, it's made by honda remember. FYi the rsx type s engine will make more hp than the s2k with the right supporting mods. I had a 2003 rsx type s and that thing was bad ass, talk about vtec kick. I also owned the 2002 civic si hatchback, boy did I have alot of fun in that car. I think any honda related talk is welcome here.

you probably had a slight tail wind, hence the reason you felt you could have gone over 160.

155-ish is the area where the car will top out from drag resistance. this will change with tire pressure, wind direction and strength, etc.
