i had the advantage down low but they were FI so they killed up top. both cars were heavily modded. but i don't think the gears hurt up top 5th and 6th wind out alot quicker with the 4.77's vs the 4.10's. its just that they're FI that made it seem like my top end sucked.
my buddies srt 4 put down 300 whp and from first gear roll i have him by a car and a half all the way through 3rd and by 4th he's pulling me. on the same day within 20 min of him on the dyno i did 215 whp.
Q? on the dyno i did 2 pulls in 3rd and i only put down 200 whp and the 3rd pull i did 215 whp is that just the gears effecting the dyno? or am i just makin less power in lower gears? or the engine just not having enough load?
