Cool Smashing rice!

I know this is going to draw some flames, and therefore I have the marshmellows, and weiners ready for roasting!! Last night I was coming back from Best Buy, and stopped at a local gas station to fill up before work today. I'm sitting there and a civic hatch back pulls up on the other side of the pump. It was a tastfully done civic, nice dark blue paint job, nice rims, and sounded pretty good. He struck up a conversation with me about my GTO, and we chit chatted about cars for a sec. Hew then told me now that he is turbo'ed he likes getting the better of big V-8's. Well not being in any kinda hurry, I asked him if he would like to run up the hwy a couple times, so I could see how fast it was. He kinda snickered, and began to pry about my car, which is pretty much stock(you can look in my sig and see the only mods). He finally agreed and hopped in his car. Well I get in and we head toward the interstate.

First run, from a 10mph roll. We started up the ramp, which is 2 lanes, line up he honks 3 times, and we are off. I get the jump and he holds on till about 60mph and then I start pulling, and it only got worse till about 140 or so, when I was several car lengths ahead.

Second run, from a 60mph roll. We lined up and he honked 3 times, and this time to my surprise he sticks with me for a short while till about 80 or so then I start pulling all the way to about 140/145mph. I ended up 4 or so cars ahead.

Third run was basically the same as the second run. When we pulled off at a local Taco Bell he was kinda humbled, the experiance. The more we talked, the more I understood why. He thought since my GTO is an 04' not the newer ones then it wasn't that fast. He was under the impression that it had a 6cyc. I guess he thought this when he made the comment about beating V-8's. When I told him that I was about 330 @ the wheels he was impressed, not that those are great #'s, but that he was in the "not known about my car". Very nice guy, and I'm always happy when I can surprise people.

Sounds like a fast hatch. You didn't get to see what motor he had?

good runs. but it sounds to me like hes full of shit. a 330whp hatch would have bent you over every which way. my guess is hes rocking a boosted D16 single and making maybe 190-200whp@ 10psi or so.

Good kill. Reminds me of this one K20A N/A vs Supra race. All that HP will help you pull hard up top. Sounded like a pretty fast hatch, and seemed like a cool guy. My kind of encounter, cool driver, just for fun. Anyways, be safe out there.

Shouldn't that be "cooking rice?"

If it's tastefully done, then why is it "rice" (as in the title)?
