Stock My00 S2k Vs. 3.0l Bmw Z4
My cousin and I have recently purchased new cars. He just graduated college and was 'fortunate' enough to purchase a fully loaded Z4. Me on the other hand, I'm a struggling college student who purchased a MY00 S2000. Ever since I road in his, I just wasn't too impressed. For 45,000 dollars, the damn car should give its driver a high five ever time he enters the car. The car ran good and took off alot faster then my car, but i believe from a roll I could take him. I kept telling him that we were to run them someday, and all he would say is "The magazines says mine has the quicker 0-60" which made me in turn reply "You have traction controle and a 1.0L bigger engine." ANYWAYS, you get the point. On our way back from the beach, I creeped up beside of him. We were rolling at about 40-45 mph, and I reved up, and we slammed down a couple gears and took off. I shifted to second and hit VTEC around 6,500rpm and instantly pulled. I didn't pull hard, but i pulled, as we shifted to third, somehow he creeped up a little bit to make it dead even again, then into fourth, I began to pull to wear I was a good 1/2 car ahead, then we both had to slow down due to traffic. I called his cell phone afterwards just to remind him I paid almost half of what he paid for his, and still pulled.

not a drivers race? what u smokin? they are pretty damn close in the 1/4. unless one or the other has some serious mph or decent difference in ET then it will come to driver. the 3.0l isnt a slouch

You might be mistaken for the Z4 2.5...Big difference with the 3.0! The 2.5 is no contest, but the Z4 should be close. Unless auto.
Or unless your car is like Blessed's, which kept up with a modified ZR1, with only bolt-ons.

Well, all I know is that at the end of third I had pulled about 3-4 feet. He has the 3.0L, I have no mods, WAIT.... I have JDM side markers 
. My car, engine wise, is bone stock. If the 'almighty' Z4 does pull, what gear, because the only time I could see him pull was the first few seconds of my third gear, after that, I gained. He has a 6-speed by the way.
