with stock gears. you need 250 whp at the least. i put out 214 on a dyno jet. i have aem intake, t1r header, 65mm tp, 70mm ivindia v4, 8 lb flywheel, act hd ss clutch and a hondata reflash. i have launch around 7500rpm and made my diff cry b/c there was no wheel spin. 60ft was in 1.91 and i made it to mid 13.5.

its doable. you could also lose some weight on the car.

Your 2.2 60ft has got to go before you even think about flirting with low 13's, let alone high 12's. A big chunk of your ET is based off how fast you get your car to that 60ft mark. When I had stock Potenza's on my S the best I was able to pull were 1.9's and a bunch of 2.0's. With DR's like you're going to have, you could really see some nice improvements with a good launch buddy!! Work on that!

And I think a nice set of gears would help you guys out a bit if you were looking for the quicker ET. With a good driver behind the wheel I wouldn't be surprised to see just a set of 4.56's or 4.77's taking off another .4 or .5 from your ET by themselves!

Torque multiplication is always a nice sleeper mod. It's like adding power to your car, without uhhhh, adding power to your motor. One of the best 1/4 mile mods for our cars N/A IMO.

Good luck and keep us posted!

well yeah i kno the 60' is my biggest issue right now im no noob to drag racing, just always ran fwd cars and launching a rwd is a tad bit differe...i got 2 passes only and managed a 13.9 which isnt bad, i feel like 3-4 more runs ill get the launch perfect and could prob manage a 13.7, 13.8 as the car is if i can get a 1.9 60' so with a lil more power, better tires, and maybe 50-100 lbs less im pretty confident i can run a 12...only time will tell

also is anybody here shifting into 5th??? i stretched 4th and it seemed like i was on the limiter maybe 20 ft before the end of the strip...maybe i can try a lil taller tire or raise the limiter to 8500... i dont really wanna shift into 5th for now...also the reason i choose not to do gears is because right after i go 12's im gonna do a 35r setup...just want to have some fun while i save up for all the turbo crap..

yea, you will run into that problem of hitting rev limiter some you get fast enough. raising that rev limiter will definitely help.

update:

best pass out of 3:

track temp:81 degrees

60' 2.058
330 5.731
1/8 8.786 @ 80.20
1000 11.419
1/4 13.635 @ 102.24

best mph was 102.99, i upgraded to a 3" exhaust since the last time and maxbore 65mm tb....car is still untuned, still need to work on the 60, waiting on some radials (whenever im not broke)...other then that nothing else was changed..other then the temp. last tim it was 59 out which is a huge defrence..considering everthing im happy...my quest for 12's w/o gears continues..
