launched at 7k with some crappy sumotomo HTR-Z tires deflated to 20psi. did i 5 sec burnout just to spin the crap off them. didnt get traction till second gear.

^^^ You seem to start off good enough, maybe it's just the location (elevation) of the track or the air temp/humidity that is keeping your top end down.

So it was my first time ever at a drag strip last night....my best run was a 15.03 with a 2.29 60'....made 4 runs.....2 of which i bogged on but still ran mid 15's and one sad 16.1....then the last was my best....still not good from what i've seen here....BTW i have a 2002 with hks hi power exhaust and a k&n drop in filter....was this bad for my first time ever?
