I just read this article and wanted to see if anyone knows the driver or passenger involved in this accident. I live nearby and it's really sad to hear of yet another casualty of street racing. Go to the track!

If you're going to do stupid things at least take some precautions.. Looks like a cage and some proper harnesses,seats would have saved some lives. Not that I condone street racing at all but if you're going to do that or any form of spirited driving you should have the proper setup to be prepared for the worst.

this is why they have drag strips! the street is no place for racing these days. too much at risk! sad story. would you risk dying to prove your car is faster in a street race? not me.
