*sigh* DON'T EVER LISTEN TO YOUR WOMAN!!!

http://genesis.noticeablydifferent.com/cla...s/my-s2k-17.jpg

Happened last night. Pulled into a parking stall. GF suggested I pulled in a bit more because my tail end was kind of sticking out (which it really wasn't). I had my doubts about pulling in a bit more but I went for it anyway. Moved one inch, ARGH! The sound of my Honda OEM front chin spoiler scraping against the curb :(

Any way to fix this? Touch-up paint? Or does the spoiler need a full repaint? You can't really see the flaws though unless you bend down near the car and look.

You can get an intirely new one for like $350 off of one of our sponsors... I would say that is better than repainting.

Lucky it's low enough that you can try to paint it and not worry too much about a perfect match or seeing the edge of the newly painted part. Go to an auto paint dealer with the paint code. Have them make up a batch of it and put it in an aerosol spray can. You'll have to sand it smooth, mask it off, spray paint it repeatedly with light coats (drying between coats and light wet sanding). When it looks right, wet sand the final time, rubbing compound, polishing compound, polish (wax or Zaino).
ps.DON'T EVER LISTEN TO HER AGAIN!

pps. It may be only $350.00 from one of the sponsors here BUT by the time you get that sucker cross the border, exchange rate, duty, shipping, brokerage, GST, you're looking at about $700.00.

If it is on the bottom where you can not see it without getting down and looking for it like you said, I would just leave it like that:confused:

Before you get a new girlfriend, you might want to try what Rick suggested a few weeks ago. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=66315

And if that doesn't work, get a new girlfriend :D  :D

hmm, that is why I usually am away from those damn parking blocks by a good foot and a half all the time and I don't have an OEM lip.

Oh, about the woman, last time I listened to her, I almost got a ticket for turning right when you're not supposed to, luckily the officer just pointed out that we couldn't do that. When it comes to things that are car related, I just pretend I heard and ignore it =)

seks,
to prevent this from happening in the future consider getting this from the sponsors for $100. it'll cover the scratches and save you on the painting.

I scrape my nose every now and then; I figure if you can't see it standing up, no point in repainting (and rescraping...) until it's time to sell.
