+5% buyer's fee = $33,600. Intense bidding war at the end! Quite a healthy number for the most common exterior color, and 3 owners. S2000 is going from "future classic" to just "classic"!

Can't say I am surprised. Desirable color combo, low miles, well cared for.

Low miles is the key. Anything sub 40 gets a premium there. Sub 20 and it's a mint. I feel like I got a good deal on mine from BAT, but it had 70K.

Not just the miles, it was absolutely flawless, 100% original, and a rare interior color. No question the nicest AP1 that's ever hit BaT. The biggest factor though: two determined bidders. Fair to say this was "all the money" and then some.

That car is Sebring Silver, a rarer color than Silverstone. Plus Honda made fewer than 1K of the SS cars with the all red interior.

Yep, someone paid $41,750 for a 2003 GPW/Tan with fewer than 10K miles on it at a Mecum auction earlier this year. It looked minty and came with a hardtop, but you can bet the seller wouldn't have drawn that kind of money in a private sale. In that case I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than just two final bidders involved.

I hate the current market for this car. But once I buy another, I hope it skyrockets lol.

Sorry, I should have specified, most common color for that year I believe. I feel like if it was white/red it would have gone for even more.

BaT attracts dumb people with money. No way it worth near that. But I see all sorts of cars sell for complete stupid prices (like a 240Z with non factory replacement parts, rust, zip ties and just crap care for over $30k). I guess if you want to sell your car for 2 to 3X what it is worth, it is worth giving BaT a try! I seriously think some people lose their mind when they see the auction running up. There was an 03 with low mileage locally that sold to someone I know for under $20k just a few weeks ago for reference, and that was dealership prices.
