low 30s probably. really low if i need to replace the bumpers.

My head was $30k but watching bring a trailer & cars&bids is all over the place wasn’t sure where to land.. appreciate the feedback.

Looks like you're buying not selling? Is the car local? Once you travel any significant distance you've already indicated the advertised price is good. Is there a price or is the seller looking for offers? Still not high season for these cars yet.
Highly desirable year, rare color, and low mileage. The mechanical condition (only 33K miles) should largely drive the value. Despite the color and low mileage I'm not sure I would pay $30,000 for a car with that much cosmetic damage. $25,000 is more in the ball park if there's no mechanical damage and you determine the car is really fine as-is as the damage doesn't seem especially noticeable. But we haven't seen the rear bumper. A high end body shop should be able to do all the repairs and not touch the VIN tags. It's only a 10 VIN car once. -- Chuck |
I would say it's a mid 30k car value wise in present condition. If everything was perfect, I could see it worth 40k+.

You said you love the color combo and year. It does have low miles on it and one owner. Probably was taken care of despite some whacks on steep driveways, speed bumps, and parking blocks.
If this car really turns you on, you should go for it. You most likely will not find another like this at that mileage. Even if you can't get the seller down a thousand or two, are you going to let it get away for that? I found my 2009 in Rio Yellow with the same miles, one owner. There were 38 sold in the USA that final year. It was a two year old car and I paid market for it in 2011: $27K. I knew I would never find another just like it. I was right. |
GPW tax is real, going to pay more for the rarity of the combo. Car looks decent other than the bumper but that's fixable if it's even noticeable from 5-10'.

Yes I’m looking to purchase. It’s local to me. Mechanically solid. Older owner hence the lack of cosmetic care over the years.

If he's firm you gotta pay that price -- someone will. I'm not sure why a white GPW commands a premium but it does. You don't have to do anything to this car to own/drive it without apology. It's an original car with some minor appearance damage.. If you mess with it it'll no longer be original so decide what you're going to do with it. Repaint it and it'll never be worth more. If you're going to repaint, lower, change the wheels, debadge, use it as a daily driver, etc. I'd find a less expensive car. There are top tier body shops that can make all these corrections and not repaint the car. I have a feeling 10 VIN tag cars will continue to increase in value.
Not sure, however, how a car with Ohio tags can be local to you in South Carolina. ;) Photos look good underneath which is paramount for a car from the show/salt region. -- Chuck |
