I just got some for a sweet deal so had to do it. Picked some up for 800 with tires and only 2k miles on both wheels and tires. I think they look real nice. Especially coming from the stock AP1 wheels.
I think they look better in person than pictures too.

 

I like the 5-spoke design. It's simple but powerful. But I like the AP2v1 wheels a lot too, they have a certain sophistication to them with the polished face.

My winter wheels look very similar...Momo Winter.

 

I remember that's what people used to say about those chrome 3 spoke wheels back in the 90's. I still shiver when I see a car on the road with those wheels...Nasty.

I've seen those 5 spokes('08-'09 + CR) in person and it looks like you can fit your whole arm in between the spokes if not your head. For the Ap2V1's and V2's, I guess that's the price to having rims that are more attractive(to me at least), They're a bitch to clean. It's kinda like having a black car...a bitch to clean but when it is, it's pure sex.

I personally like rims that have at least 6 spokes.

 

You can always get aftermarket rims or trade with someone that has Ap2v1's or v2'.

I know the rims were one of the reasons I went w/ an '07 among others. The only upside to go w/ an '08 for me was the restyled gauge cluster but there were more negatives than positives overall(the seats positioned above the roll bar which made it look a little goofy IMO with the top down). It's all preference. If the rims are the only item bothering you than, as I've stated above, would be your answer.

 

i like ap2v2 the best.

 

i mean the 5 star doesnt bother me. its the fact that the spokes are caved in.

 

or you can be like me and pick up a clean set of 5zigen 6 spokes for 500 bux with brand new rear tires

 

i actually dont mind the 08/09 rims, actually like them better than the ap2 v2....but i still like my ap2 v1's over anything

 

I love the CR gunmetal wheels.

 

are ap2v1 wheels 04-06? didn't even know there was a difference, lol
