+100,000 miles S2000

saw a couple of s2000 on autotrader in the upward 100,000 miles range...Glad to see people reaching these numbers...I Was wondering with "moderate" driving (by all mean not wimpy driving) like the rest of us along with well cared oil changes and tune up....how many miles do we expect...i don't expect my S to live past 80,000 miles, and have any body personally seen a 80K s2000?

Yes I know of one, I drove it and it runs like a fine watch. And there are several 100k owners in here. I think by the time I need a new engine, that there will be low mile engines at most auto recyclers.

There are quite a few people with over 100k on here, but most of them don't post in S2000 Talk. I've got 88k on my '02. No major problems yet.

118k on mine and she still runs as strong as the rest of 'em. Aside from minor maintenance things, Ive never had a major problem occur. I just recently replaced the stock battery a week ago and she still has the stock clutch in her and its working great too!

DolemIKE, was wondering if you baby the s alot>

I've got 100,465. My car actually runs as hard as my friends 03 with 10,000. As long as you maintain the car and don't beat the hell out of it all the time it will last a long time. I also have a Civic with 250,000 miles with no problems with the original engine.

Honda's Rule

97k on mine. Runs and looks like new.

Wow guys, that really is amazing. It astounds me that some still have the stock clutch after 100,000 miles! Anyway, I hope to be joining the club soon. I am looking for one with under 15,000 miles.

I don't know why a lot of people think this engine won't last if properly taken care of. The designers and engineers at Honda are not idiots and I don't think they would have made the S2000 if they didn't feel it could live as long as a Civic or Accord. Just my two cents though.
