Default 10lb cat on soft top

Anyone else have the problem with their car where a cat decides to sleep on the soft top? Is this bound to scretch the thing or increase wear?

I just trained my doberman to sleep up there at night. Solved my cat problem.

There is this stuff that you can get at gardening places that is like little crystals and animals HATE this stuff. It is meant to be put on the soil, but I imagine you can put it on the top. Smells kinda funky, but it only takes a LITTLE bit.

I believe you can use crushed moth balls... cats can't stand the scent.

I think I would be more concerned about the paint scratches he's probably making on the way to the top. The competitive cat toss often works in these situations.
