15K inners of front tires completely bald...is this....
Normal?
I have read if I get alignment and go a little to positive camber i will get more even tire wear, but sacrafice handling.
Question???
DEFINE not as good handling
I do not autoX, I do drive hard ocasionally...but my car is daily driver
I THOUGHT new fronts per every second set of rears
any suggestions??
My originally S...01 the fronts wore perfectly... and I would have had to change at 28 k..when I would have got my 2nd set of rears
getting only 15k out of fronts upsets me
So should I get camber set less agreesively..., and my rears wore perfectly BTW...
thanks

i got 17,500 out of my first set of fronts, and had to change them from inner wear also. i figured it was 'cause i was dropped about an inch and a half from stock height for those last five thousand miles.
15K is normal-to-pretty good; many owners only see 10 (such is the price of sticky tires). The rears usually wear faster. Note that if you're seeing a big difference from what you used to experience with the car, it's probably time for an alignment.
In general, reducing the car's negative camber will indeed result in a more even wear pattern, and thus longer tread life, but it will reduce the car's cornering grip pretty significantly. At least, when I added camber for track events, the difference was like night and day.

If your tyres/tires are not wearing evenly you have a wheel alignment problem.
You have said that the insides of the front tyres have worn - it sounds like the negative camber on your car is a little too aggressive - I would look at reducing the negative camber (but not going to positive camber!!).

I have about 25K miles on my fronts (still stock S-02s), and they are also worn pretty good on the insides. I just flip-flopped them to get a few more miles out of the front tires. I have been running the British spec alignment since about 16K miles, which is a pretty aggressive set up, but the handling is great!!
Even though I could probably get another 2-3K miles on the front tires, I'll be getting new S-02s in two weeks

I still have original S-02s with 45,000 miles. Starting to show good wear, needing replacement. Daily driver with some stupid shit on the side.
Second set of rears.
Alignment never checked.
I'd go with stock or try the Luft46 island spec.
