Default 2004 Conversion Part 1

Finally got part of my stuff Honda and for ppl who like to know what mods will be need for the front end conversion then here you go.

Here's the pic for my car with the bumper off.

The difference between the two head lamp is where the HID ballast is mounted. The 2004 uses a smaller ballast and the smaller connector to the HID bulb . All other auxilary light and signals sockets fit properly. You can use thin aluminum plates to make brackets to hold it and it is not hard to do at all.

The connector for the bulb itself of the 2003 is a bit to large to fit through the 2004 headlamp so you have your options to file the hole to make the hole bigger so that the connector can get through or cut the wiring then fit the connector from the light bulb side then re-connect them again.

The 2004 Head lamp bolted in perfectly but for the bumper , you need to remove the foam which sits in front of the re-bar to fit the 2004 bumper on. Other than that the install was pretty straight forward.

I will be doing the rear end conversion as well but too bad the parts didn't come on time so I will keep you guys posted as soon as I have it started.

Looks cool. The bumper came in unpainted?

Yes. You can order Honda pre-paint bumpers in Japan only.

His sig - "ALEX CF Airbox"

I wonder how the Spoon snorkel will fit with the 04 bumper and grill. I like the new bumper.

That is pretty cool. Do the HID's light up any differently from 00-03 models?
