I really liked the new '06 seats and leather when I sat in one at the dealership a few weeks ago.

I've had 3 S's - 00, 04 & 06.

The leather on all parts of the 06 seat is thicker. Not sure it is better quality? How do you measure leather quality

Any way I love mine and my butt says they are more comfortable!

Less wind chill on the neck as well

My wife's Odyssey has leather on the seats that looks identical to the '06 seat leather. It is not wearing very well on either the driver's seat or the passenger's seat. It's been just over a year since we bought it new. The seats seem to becoming shiny and not very leather-looking in appearance. My '05 S seats still look brand new.

I luv my 06 seats compared to those that were in my 02....at first the pics prior to release of the 06 made me dislike the look of them until I saw them in person...they rock

Some actually argue that the leather on the 06 models is actually cheaper to produce. Who knows ...

The 06 leather is just more durable -- based on the looks of it.

I think the 06 seats look horrible should have left the hole in the seats..loks more sproty like that...

I would like to bltch slap the dumba$$ at Honda who said let's put in some crappy shlt leather made from rats for a car that is supposed be used with the top down. Mine has 2 big holes on the driver side bolster. The car 32,000 miles and 4 years old. Great idea Honda, Sochiro must be laughing his dead a$$ off everytime I run a errand and jump into it and burn my a$$. My Miatas had a nice durable cloth interior still looked new without having to waste time "treating the leather all the time". Cool in the summer and not as cold in the winter, plus grippier in a corner, unlike these rat skins where you get hot and sweaty in shorts.

I still prefer the helmet hole and the more round shape of headrest on pre-06 models. However, I would like to the more durable leather -- constantly conditioning the seats is a big pain.

I finally sat in an 06 a couple days ago. The only thing I like about them is the headrest..it's really comfortable (and usable). I don't know if a helmet fits, though.

But I still find my 05 seats more comfortable. They seem smaller and hug my body more, especially the side bolsters. The 06 seats did seem more cushy.

I think the leather grain on the 06 seats is totally nasty. Like some kind of fake snakeskin pattern. I like the simple 05 look.
