C-west did a full-carbon s2k (among other things) and weight savings was around 650+lbs. It wasn't even as extensive as this ASM one, so weight savings on this kit is pretty substantial.

still a ridiculous purchase for an individual, but for race teams where every tenth second matters and splits 1st and 2nd splace, is 50k too much?

they price it so high because they expect no one to buy it. that's it... they don't 'want' to sell a lot of kits.

I am sure the kit comes in several individual pieces. I don't think you hit the front end and have to replace the whole body.
