800 miles in... - rough idle? hot shifter?

Hey guys - I've been a proud owner for about 3 weeks now, and have put about 800 miles on my '04 silverstone/red/black S2K - I have some newbee questions. At idle - does the car have an inherrent vibration at idle? At every traffic light, the car has a slight vibration - just wondering if something could require re-alignment - apparently the valve adjustment was done by the previous owner (my car has 22,700 miles on it.) Secondly, do the shift know and emergency brake handle get warm at all? Sometimes I get out of the car in my garage, get back in an hour later in they are hot. Thanks in advance fellas....

the idel thing is normal, does the try to go off, when you make complete stops, and/or when you turn on the car?

try tapping the map sensor..

No - it doesn't try to turn off (if I understood you correctly) - it idles exactly at 1000 rpm - it just has that vibration. Thanks - also, I have that ANNOYING squeek from the driver seat belt guide on the seat - I am going to install the felt under it tonight, its driving me crazy!! :) But otherwise I am loving this car - glad to be a proud S2K owner.

Shifter, E-Brake, Tunnel and Floor...stay warm for quite awhile !!!!

All sounds generally normal. You may want to change the MTF fluid and diff fluid just in case that has not been done. I use Honda MTF for transmission and Amsoil Synthetic 80w-90 for diff. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I am definitely going to do that - I love this forum! I will have those fluids changed next - just curious, how much is this going to run me at the dealer?
