I envy you folks with a garage space. My Grey Fox just toughed out a monsoon.

Oh, check for leaks! I checked mine and after 2 days of rain and I am so relieved that there's no leak anywhere. Also took it out for a brief drive in the rain, no leaks!

But that back end though... haha

Oh, by the way...about the plastic window looking so good. When I picked it up his wife said she found a foam tube in the trunk and had no idea what it was for but asked me if I wanted it. Thanks to this forum I knew that her husband must have used it when he put the top down to keep the plastic window from creasing. I happily took it and told her what her husband must have been using it for and she was appreciative of me clearing up the mystery tube. I complimented her on what a great job her husband did preserving this car over the last 19 years. All in all a positive experience for both of us.

MY2000, 21,000 miles, one owner and still smells new! My kids gave it their approval and I even scared the wife a bit showing her what the redline sounded like on some country roads! All is good with the world.
Thanks to all who helped with advice and acted as a sounding board to me. I appreciate the help...and yes, I keep going back to the garage for one last look as I got the exact color I wanted. I actually look at the engine more than the car so I may need to just keep the hood propped open for a while to save the me trouble of opening and closing it constantly...

nice find and enjoy!

Congratulations JRG2000. That S2000 sure dresses up the garage nicely. I agree with you about the engine. Honda did a great job laying everything out and leaving things accessible. Such an old school, straightforward approach. My son inherited my old Audi A4 and we were working on it together a few months back. With covers over every part of that engine bay it served as a reminder of just how nice the S2000's engine bay really is.

Honestly as much as I enjoy this car, I wouldn't own one without a garage. There are multiple reasons for that but theft would be my primary concern (in my case based on personal experience). I look at the world differently after racking up a few more decades since I was in my 20's, lol.

Congratulations on your purchase. It is a twin to the S2000 we bought the weekend they were released in the USA. Except we had red interior.
Megulars has a plastic polish we used on the rear window and it looked new after each cleaning, even when we sold the S 11 years later. Enjoy it.
