I bought my second s2000 about a year ago at age 31
LBP 2007 with 48k miles
i bought my my first one at 29yrs of age a BB 2002
I’ve wanted an s2000 since high school, but a 2 seat rwd car never made sense in Chicago.
After I was able to have 2-3 toys, I decided I could have a 2 seat RWD car in Chicago that I only need to drive when it’s nice out

Yes, the average is about 40 years old.
So approximately, most of these 40 year ladies and gents who recently acquired their S2000 were in their 20's at the time when the S2000 was released.
And my theory is - is that the S2000, at that time, was out of their budget - mainly and probably because of a very few factors that I can think of and they are as follows:
-School,
- Building a career.
- and then followed by building a family.
And once these 40 yo buyers have attained what they needed to attain, they were then able to purchase the S2000.
So is it safe to say then that the next peak for our S2000 is once these 40 years olds are nearing or turning 60 years old. So I'd say in about 15-20 years from now?
Just a thought.

Was into non-vehicle things, apart from a motorcycle and high tech (alternative fuel) cars from 1999 to about 2013. Then Jeeps, then roadsters.
Paid more for my motorcycle than the S2000; wasn't a cash thing.

Got mine in March, 2018 when I turned 70. Bought it from an 87-year old retired Lutheran minister whose girlfriend wanted him to buy an Audi convertible.
Easy come, easy go, I guess. Put 6,000 miles on it in the first 7 months I had it. Sorry for the giant photo. :-(

I just bought my 3rd in November of last year at the age of 39. It is a 2008 NFR.
Regarding the budget bit, I was chasing a different platform at the time this car was released; it would have been pushing my budget to afford it at the time, but I didn't consider it.
