Default Air bags deploying.

When should air bags in the S2000 deploy--in a head-on collision only? What about a hard sideway collision? Mine was in a very hard sideway collision, but the damn air bags didn't deploy giving me more injuries. Do I have a case? Should I seek legal advice? Thx!

No, the air bags should not deploy in a side collision. The air bags are inherently dangerous (explosives!) and should only deploy when they could prevent further injury.

I think it is mainly head-on collisions...the car slows down at an incredible rate due to the impact, and your body wants to keep going forward (interia)...the airbag then deploys to stop your head from moving forward and snapping or damaging your neck or causing whiplash

Well, mine collided sideway first, then spun to a head-on collision. I think it should be enough to deploy because I did snap forward.

Did your head hit the steering wheel? If not, be happy they did not deploy. Air bags give nasty burns. Like I said earlier, they use explosives to rapidly inflate. If you're dead-set on sueing, you should be talking to a lawyer, not us. Did you go to the hospital? What did they about your injuries?

No, I'm not dead-set on suing. I'm just wondering why the bags didn't deploy in such a crash, sideway and head-on. Yes, spent 3 days in a hospital. Injuries? I really don't want to go into details. But yes, there are serious injuries.

3 days in the hospital definitely indicates serious injury. Sorry to hear it was so bad! Talk to a lawyer. The less you say here, the better.
