I've been thinking about this "removing the amber in the headlight" topic, and the fact that RHD cars have a different headlight pattern. But it seems to me that there are other (European) countries that use LHD, so here is my question: Are all non-North America S2000s RHD? I know it is true for Japan, Australia, HK, and UK -- all are RHD. But does Honda export any LHD S2000s to other parts of the world? Are there S2000s in Germany? France? Taiwan? Are they LHD or RHD? And what is the headlight configuration if they are LHD?

mainland europe is all LHD.

the reason for this goes all the way back to napoleon. when he was conquering europe he would advice his soldiers to walk on the right so that the artillery could pass on the left. all the lands and areas he invaded took on this system. except for england which he never managed to conquer. all areas influenced by england (like Australia) used the british system of staying to the left. and USA adopted the stay to the right theory when we were allied with the french against england in the revolutionary war. hope this answers both your question and your thirst for knowledge :D

Another theory is that swordsmen on horseback would pass on the left so they could defend themselves if attacked, as right handed riders would have their sword in their right hand.
There are quite a few theories on this topic.

Bit of a bugger if you were left- handed, then :)

European mainland S2000s are imported straight from Japan. All are LHD, except if you order a RHD of course ;)
All have clear headlights, the corners are not.

I would venture to say that japan is RHD because the first cars ever in Japan probably came from Britain.

Good theory. I know that the first cars produced by DAT (later Datsun, then Nissan) were Austin (A6 I think) produced under license.
