Alternative to Modifry soft top strap
 

is there one? like getting an elastic band from a fabric store and wrap it around the two bars? if anyone has done this, please share some pictures.

Yeah, doubt you will save all that much doing it yourself and theirs already comes pre-cut, has the attachments and seems to be very good quality material (so hopefully does not stretch back out as quick).

use shoelaces. seriously though, the modifry ones are great and well worth it. otherwise, use shoelaces.
