Default Ap1 Redline

Anyone want to venture an opinion on our engines real rev capabilities? We know that the factory sets the rev limiter on the Ap1 engine at 8900-9000 rpm's- but the manufacturer is also safeguarding their warranty exposure due to failed engines. So this has to be an artificially low number-right? Given that all manufacturers are going to be conservative to protect their interests - what do you believe the real rev capabilities of the stock engine are? Can the rev limiter be set higher ? Another - say 300 rpm's would mean a lot of power in a supercharged car at peak boost which occurs at that top end of the rev curve. Please comment either from educated opinion or actual experience. Thanks.

Does the s2k suffer from problems such as valve float? I don't know... I would imagine the rev speed would be limited by valve-train abilities and crank weight.

If Honda has taken it to 10,000 plus- is there a way to reset the rev limiter higher?

And the other thing is that the power will drop off after 8700 rpms because of the cams, so on the street there isn't much point in revving the car up that much. On the track or auto-x you could make the argument that the extra revs help.

Since the Comptech supercharger comes on strong at the top of the rev band more revs above 8700 should be very strong right?

Would you really want to rev to stock engine up that high and add boost?

For a totally stock F20c, there wouldn't be much of a point to rev the car higher if you aren't making more power up there.
