Default ARC Shift Knob

My Spoon shift knob feels like it could float away so that's definetely billet titanium....but having just received my dad's ARC knob yesterday all I can say is it's heavy...yes it's a good thing if you want the weight behind it but just wondering why it weighs so much if it's titanium?? thanks in advance for the info

btw: I'm gonna buy an ARC one for myself so look for my Spoon shiftknob on the for sale forum in the very near future (today possibly)!!!!

There are many different grades of titanium with different alloys put in the mix. Magnesium is the lightest then aluminum then titanium then steel.

but i've got the spoon and other than what was bored out for the threads...it looks to be full...how could it be hollow if it's a solid piece with just threads...it's a billet titanium piece...it's just a little baffling to me...

^ I used a Skunk2 for a while and it was excellent, I replaced it with an ARC which was good but the size didn't do it for me much.

The spoon knob is hallow on the inside, its just a shell of Ti. Imagine a Ti egg.

I have the ARC Ti knob and absolutely love it. Shifting is smoother. Nice 'snick snick' movement.
