Auto adjusting HID's on S2000 in Europe
The S2000 is equipped with high performance, high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps which are twice as bright as halogen bulbs. They use a high voltage current and a bulb filled with Xenon gas to produce an output much closer to that of daylight. Some manufacturers call them Xenon headlights.
To ensure that the headlights are aimed accurately at all times, an automatic adjustment mechanism is provided. This consists of an ECU that continually monitors the car

I had an audi A6 that had those on it. It was hard to get used to. When you went over a speedbump the lights would aim down an then back to normal when you came off the bump. It was a cool feature. All the audi TT guys were trying to mod it on the the TT's
Yea, my last car A 2001 BMW 325Ci had the HID's with the auto adjust feature. It was cool..
If you accelerated hard, they would dip down a bit so the oncoming drivers would not be blinded.
Also when braking really hard, they would tilt up a bit, so that you could get a better view of the road.. Cool stuff.. but..............
When the headlight adjusting motor broke on the car, it was $$$$ to fix
