Is it bad relining my car when it still new?
I redline it maybe twice a week, usually when i'm late for work. Is it bad for the engine? I read the manual and they said owners should not redline the car till they have 600 miles on them. Just wondering with me pushin the car hard, will it takes a toll on the new engine? Like i said, i only redline twice or 3 time a week.
Thanks,
Thanks,

You will get all types of mixed opinions on this. some will say it is horrible for you to redline the engine until you have 1K miles on the car.
Others will say go by the manual and wait until 600 miles.
I have had a bunch of machanics tell me that engines today are made to drive right off the lot anyway you want.
I'm sure they redline it at the foctory to test it before shipment.
I guess, it's personal preferrence. I usually drive me cars pretty easy for the first 1K miles. I don't think a redline here and there is going to hurt the car though.

Maybe you should have asked or read the manual before you did it. You shouldn't feel any immediate problems, but in the long run, something funny just might happen. This is the common story. Stories have varied, but why not just don't do it until the manual says so? It's not just redlining either. The manual says not to go above 5000 rpm before you hit 600 miles, 1000 on the safe side (not in manual).

I still try to take it easy on mine (just kidding), but I didn't go above 5k RPMS for the first 6k miles. After break in, the car will be ready to handle pretty much whatever you thow at it.

It's not as serious as everyone says. I wouldn't leave the showroom floor and redline it...but this is a high-revving car and you should have fun with it. Just take it a little easy at first.
