Guys I need your help. I took my car into the Honda dealership to have a transmission issue fixed, then i get a call from the dealership. The service guy says that when he was testing the car he "got into a skid" and crashed into a wall. The car is really trashed, both airbags deployed, passenger side fender gone, passenger side front tyre popped, rim bent, front bumper gone, control arm snapped, hood can't open. They say that they are going to have it fixed, but i want an independent estimate of the damage. What issues should I be looking at to ensure quality repair, if repair is even possible, also I think the frame may be bent.

P.S. I have a bunch of pics that I took, but I can't figure out how to load them to my album how do I do that?

A simple call to an atty would be your best bet. Don't authorize any repairs until you consult with one.

Very good advice.
From what you were describing the damage was, he must have been going pretty fast to have caused that type of damage.
I would skip talking to the "service guy" and get up a little higher on the food chain in the dealership.

Skidded in to the wall????? WTF? he shouldn't be driving it that fast to test the car in the first place. Do you mind sharing what dealership this is?

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. I really, really have to want my car to slide to get it to lose traction. How many miles are on your car?What kind of tires do you have on it an in what condition were they in when you brought them the car? That could be crucial to getting a fair deal in this.

Lawyer up. Assuming you bought your car new/certified, or at least it has a credible title, it no longer does now. You should be entitled to a vehicle of the same nature. Meaning new or roughly equal miles with a clean title.

Beach Honda N.Maimi. Car has 94K with pirelli p-zero neros that are in exellent condition, less than 20K miles on them. His only defense is that it had been raining at the time of the accident

I bought the car used, but with a clean title, one owner off lease. The tech guy is saying that the car is not totalled, so that means they will not be entitled to replace it, just fix it right?
