Best floor mats?
Yes I searched.
The OEM mats are in my opinion crap. The only alternative I can seem to find are the larger mats available from ricks. I don't really want to buy from ricks as I have read of some bad experiences and his prices are way, way out of line with the amount of material / quality (if the pictures on the site are any indication). Are there any other options? |
MUZ has the best floor mats money can buy.

Steve;
I have Ricks wool mats. Yes they are pricey, but their 'build' quality and feel of the wool is worthy of much more expensive cars (especially those whose name begins with a "P" :D ). Plus they fit perfectly-not a small thing considering the funky cross bracing that lurks on the floors of the S. As a small bonus, the way they are sewn minimises the appearance of those humps from the floor pan cross bracing. I have tried in vain to find similar wool mats for a "P"ehicle. It seems Rick has the wool mat market cornered-even if it's for only one model. I'm sure you will get what you order from Ricks. He's just not set up like Wally World. Based on the snippets I've seen, I suspect he's set up like a jobber-limited initial stock to get the product moving then depends on the supplier delivering reorders on a timely basis. The problem is that no one wants to get caught with stock and everything is "just-in-time"-It's just not the customers definition of "on- time". The closest I see to Ricks quality mats are Lloyds mats: (http://lloydmats.com/index2.htm ) They have two levels of nylon mats- no wool- and a bunch of custom options depending on who you buy them from. The Muz mats are definately another option. Pics of the mats are on their website:

Muz mats rock!

Talking about bad products. I bought the dead pedal from Rick's and the rubber circles fell out.

I want a set of floor mats that covers the humps.

The prestige Muz mats are well worth the price. I've had mine for 2 years and love them!
