My 02 sold. You will have to negotiate with the administrator of my probate estate to get that 03. That's the one I drive into the sunset.

I should say that I listed the 02 on Craigslist, Cars.com, Cargurus.com, and s2ki forum. CarGurus.com produced by far the most interest and contacts about the car. Like someone said above, the key is figuring out what to ask for the car. It is not an easy task to price these cars. If you set the price too high it will almost certainly sit on the market for a long time. You have to balance the cost of continuing ownership which varies with each owner, against the sale price you set and accept. In my case each month I kept that car it was costing me money. The market for these cars is decent but I think you do have to advertise nationwide.

Good feedback for anyone who might be considering selling their S (that would not include me). How far away was the person who ended up buying your '02 located from you?

Of course the fact that you now you get to enjoy a "pre-retirement bonus" by way of the Silverstone '03 is of no small consequence.

More importantly, which listing produced the actual sale?

You said CarGurus produced the most interest, but was it the most productive interest? ie; serious potential buyers and not tire kickers or dreamers.

Buyer came from CarGurus. S2ki produced one inquiry. CarGurus produced a lot of serious interested buyers. They were actually stacked up behind the guy who purchased. He is in Pa, I am in Vermont. The listings were all the same except S2ki which was much more detailed. I referred folks here for details.
