Body Work after a year
I was just wondering about my S2K ( It has been garaged since September and not driven!). I have had the car 15 months now and was wondering how other people's body work was coping with life. How do we rate the paintwork protection on the S2000?
I read a mail from Paul in the UK where he mentioned he had some scratches (Obviously before his big off) and I started to think of my own car.
So far I have some stone chips and some brake dust that is stuck on the wheels. Apart from this though I am pretty well clean.
What about others who have had the car more than a year now?
Also, is there someway I can get rid of the baked on dust from my wheels?
Regards,
Simon.

Scratch on my front right fender (came too intimate with a tree), dent on top of the right fender close to the windshield (must have been the door of a 4WD or SUV in a car park), scratch on the driver's door (the door of a van parked close to me, I actually saw it, went down to discuss, but what can you do?).
The windshield looks like the pits (no pun intended). I do a lot of driving at very high speed.
Except for these, looks ok. I am considering a re-spray of affected parts but my previous experiences were not fully gratifying so for the moment I am hanging on...

Car's now 11 months old, driven most days (in all weather) and parked on a driveway outside with no cover...
So far, no noticeable scratches, a couple of little pits in the bonnet and a stone chip on the windscreen. There's one puckmark ding in the passenger door (someone's door opened into it I bet) which I might get DentMaster to sort out if any more appear

Seriously of the 5 original scratches 3 were self inflicted (but far, far too easy for my liking) and 2 were jealousy items.
The car is outside at Honda and under a bird pooping tree, which I was going to complain about but I'm letting it ride, and they'll be taking steps to rectify the entire paintwork once the repair is under way
Simon, good to read you again, why's the car garaged?
I use a brush on alloy wheel cleaner every 3-4 months, it lifts all the dust off no problem, just concerned at what's it doing to the laquer (sp) finish.

I've experienced a lot of stone chips especially at the rear of the front wheel wells and the front of the rear wheel wells.
On top of this a couple of self inflicted scratches (nothing serious). I am disappointed though that the car seems to have taken quite a beating from stone chips - I don't recall ever having had this happen with other vehicles, even ones that sit low to the ground like the Stook.

The car is garaged whilst I change my whole life! I kid you not.
At the same time I have changed jobs, home, region, been discussing separation from the girlfriend, been very ill, apparently doing my best to run out of money and everything else you can imagine to make my own life a bit of a misery!
As I am under a little pressure at the moment (including Finance - Job change has turned out to be a real mess) I have chosen to keep my baby in the garage and flog the CRX to death.
Kind Regards,
Simon (Can someone pass the knife please???)

Woa Simon,
Is this what happens when you visit Cdelena?
Hope it works out ok.
How many revs does the little CRX go to again?
I don't know whether I should post my car accident pictures now
