Depends on how much time I have.... If I have time to put the boot on...it goes on (cause it looks so much better that way). At some point I gotta figure out an automatic boot....
But since you are up in Cinci.... you really don't need to think about it for another 4 months! =o)

With a little practice it can be put on or taken off in about 30 seconds. It does take up alot of trunk space but it protects the top from dirt and wind when you have it down especially if you have a plastic rear window

The boot cover comes off? The top goes up? What do you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I prefer fashion to function and always use the boot cover. For the first six months of ownership my top didn't retract properly and I couldn't figure out how to get the boot on. The dealer had the same problem. One warm day my top went down properly and the four pegs were exposed and I got the boot cover on. Since then, having solved the puzzle, I always use it since I love how it finishes the look of the car.
My SECOND rear window is not perfect and I expect an "in warranty" repair again.

Always on - rarely drive with the top up. We have such a short convertible season, and fairly predictable rains.
I haven't tried this, but I've been thinking of taking the cover off to do so... does the boot fit on the back shelf unfolded with the top up?....! Anyone tried this? It would eliminate the "takes up too muck room in the trunk" argument. Seems like it might.

1. Too hard to get off. One of the snaps invariable sticks. I have no patience.
2. We have many pop-up thundershowers and I would be drenched fiddling with the boot.
3. More dust accumulates in the nooks and crannies and so I have dust more often.
4. No room in the trunk to store it with all my other things especially on long trips.

The boot is always on unless I am going somewhere that I have to leave the car unattended for longer then 15 minutes.
