I have bought alot from Bp , toda header , TS front bumper , GD rear bumper , fujitsubo exhaust . And i'm happy with there service , everything arived on time , only the TS front took a few months . But that can happen everywhere , its not like they make the parts themselve ... .

You guys should be happy with shops like BP , here in europe its normal to wait months and months for some parts from japan . And the prices here are alot higher too .

Just too add that I have had GREAT customer service from BP and Dan.. i ordered six qtrs of rear diff fluid for our tech day. Dan made sure the oil arrived prior to the tech day - and then my payment got lost (my mistake send it to his old address) Dan has been more than understanding even though I made the mistake

I would buy from these guys again in a New York minute

Hi there!

I give an about 8000$ order to them about one month ago.
Ewerytime when I ask something, I got usually answer next morning
I ordered a lot of AEM CAI part's now they have that goods, and they send it to me

Toda's header to my S2000 and Civic TypeR are still in progress, same like Amuse dual titanium exhaust, bubby club aero part's, and some else Toda's goods.. But they have give it to me good information about deliwering time..

Of course it's is better get that goods soon here to Finland before winter, because summer is here so "quick over" ..

But I've believe them at they do best as they could

I live in Europe, and I ordered some Best Motoring DVD's! I sent 110euro!! (nearly $120), and after 2 weeks, they told me "this product isn't in stock, we will go to Japan to attend the Tokyo motor show, and we will sent it to you".

After 1 month, they told me that this item doesn't exist, and suggest me to accept, some other tapes instead of Best Motoring.. I said, No.. And ordered a titanioum gear shift (which is cheaper..) and until now (6 months later) I am waiting...

I lost $120

Profpin: No, I really don't feel like I should have waited until the EMS was in my hand before scheduling the install/tune. I should be able to order it from Japan or any other country and receive it in a month. I order online a lot. I've ordered probably 15 parts for my car from different places, and then I order dvds/home theater equipment/to just about anything. I have never had to wait that long. If something is out of stock, the company tells me when their next shipment will be in. Then they give me the option to wait. They don't just take my money and say...oh yeah, you're going to have to wait a month (or more for some of these other guys) and you can't get your money back. Hell, Bulletproof didn't even tell me that until I called back 2 weeks after the purchase. Bulletproof fed me lies after lies, they got an attitude on the phone one of the times because I called back for the 2nd time that day, and they don't call you back to keep you informed.

Bottom line is the customer service needs some definite work.
And I wish I would have known about calling the CC company. They can fight it for you? I REALLY wish I had known about that. I've never had any problems to dispute before.

Thanks, and just as I expected, there were some other people out there...and I haven't recognized anyone from the other boards I expected to see post on this thread. So maybe they'll chime in here soon.

almost everything on my car has come from bullet proof. except my mugen parts and wheels. pretty much everything else. i have spent well over $15k with them. i have waited many times for parts told one eta then it gets pushed back. but thats the problem when buying authentic parts from japan. i accept the risk and know what could happen. but when they do have something in stock i get it fast. also when my parts arrive at there shop i usualy have them within two to three days. i deal with rich and ben. they have both always come through with whatever i needed or wanted. i also like the fact that ben is always straight forward with me when he can or can't get something. he doesn't beat around the bush and try to get me to buy something i don't want. they have earned my business..... simple as that

I've just been informed of this thread.

I do apologize for the troubles that have been caused by my business.

I am not here to make excuses. The fact that I have customers out there who feel upset after dealing with us is very concerning to me. This is the stuff that keeps me up at night, and is the fear of any business owner.

To those who feel wronged by my business, please feel free to call and speak directly to me at the office. Or leave me an email with your phone # and I'll call you. I'll do my best to adequately solve any problems that may exist. I keep my email address public on my website for this reason.

I'm embarrassed that such a thread has occurred with my business. I've been serving the S2000 market for 4 years and I've always been very proud of the fact that our reputation on s2ki was in excellent standing. It seems that lately we have not kept all of our customers as content as I would have liked to.

We have grown tremendously over the past year, our staff has changed quite a bit, we've taken on a Japanese warehouse, and we've refined a lot of our processes in house. It has been a challenging transition, and I'm learning that in doing so, I have not kept all of my customers as happy as I should have.

Running a business where 80%+ of our parts are special order means that its very difficult to provide the same service that a customer would expect of a large retail chain like a best buy. We find ourselves consistently at the mercy of our suppliers and their delivery times. Even local items like AEM are not in stock at our warehouse, and are either drop shipped for us, or we pick them up at AEM and ship them. This in itself becomes confusing because we consider it in stock (vs backordered) if we are informed that it is at AEM's local warehouse (according to our supplier). Either way, we are relying on the word of our suppliers for lead times and delivery times. It is very hard to consistently be relying on various suppliers, yet remaining accountable for any mistake or delay that may be incurred. Because of this, our policy is to never guarantee a delivery date, because so often we are not the shipper. For instance, we offer overnight delivery, but we do not guarantee it will be delivered tomorrow. Overnight is a delivery method, not an ETA. Even in a circumstance where my supplier says that they have an item in stock and will ship it that day via overnight freight, we still do not guarantee our customers that next day they will have their part. When we dont do something 100% ourselves, its entirely too risky to guarantee a delivery date.

We carry more stock than most retailers in this industry, but for those of you that know our website, you surely understand that its impossible for us to stock everything (or even 10% of what we offer). We are as resourceful as we can be in sourcing items (we've scoured Japan for DVDs during trips out there, I even recently purchased a Japanese watch for one client).

I give you my word that I'm doing all that I can and working overtime to make Bulletproof as good as it can be. If I can improve anything for you, please contact me directly and privately please. If you have any advice for me as a business owner, please also feel welcome to contact me privately.

While I can not always guarantee delivery times, I can guarantee that we have never defrauded anyone, we will be around for years to come, and we will continue to be the most reliable source of Japanese parts in the US.

To those that have parts on order with us, please do not worry. We have a container in customs now that will be released probably mid next week. With our newly acquired Japanese warehouse, we are increasing our shipping schedule (we also do ocean freight for manufacturers within the industry and other wholesale and retail shops), so future orders will be delivered even faster.

Again, I apologize for the existence of this thread. I will do all that I can to ensure that all of our customers are happy with their experiences.

Sincerely,

Ben
