Burning from exhaust

new exhausts always have a burning smell. also, you might ha ve run over a plastic bag or something that burned on to the pipe underneath the car. that's what happened to my Invidia.

completely normal, it will go away with a few days of consistent driving

Depending on if you used any solvents to remove or install the exhaust on the bolts or hangers....the smell could be from the solvents being burnt off.

As mentioned....NEW exhaust have a smell until they are worked in.

yup the exhaust is used... the smell is gone.. maybe it was one of the popcorn styrofoam peices that may have been stuck in the exhaust?

its gone now, you're fine

also, grease from you hands during the install/handling will burn off and smell. Same with headers and testpipe.
