Burning oil
Bought a s2000 in November. 7000 miles on it. I notice that I need to add a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Any one else experience this? If so, is it normal?
Also, one time under heavy acceleration from a standstill the transmission was slipping. Happened in 2nd gear also. Definately smelled some clutch.

The clutch is weak, it shouldn't happen in second unless you are really dumping it. As for the oil, some engines do take some oil, do you have synthetic in or dino? Also, what did the previous owner use? If there is synthetic, you could try going to dino and see if it stops. If it doesn't wait several thousand miles and see if it stops.

Bought the car new. Using regular 10W30 and what ever the Honda dealer put in @3500 miles.
The clutch thing happened once in second gear. Going in to dealer @7500 miles. I'll talk to them about the clutch. If it is weak, what is the remedy?

As for the clutch being weak, this is a function of how you use the car. Those who drive more sedately have reported using the same clutch upwards of 50K miles or more. If it is proving to be "weak" for you, then you need to look into aftermarket setups like ACT clutch disc and Heavy Duty PP.
They way you worded it was misleading. It sounded like you bought it with 7,000 miles.
If you look at all of the cars the Honda dealer services, they use 5w20, which is what Honda recommends. Honda recommends that S use 10w30. You need to check what the dealer is using, chances are, its 5w20. Bring your own oil for the changes. Use the correct oil and see if your problem goes away.
The clutch is not designed for drag racing; if that is how you use the car, you need a beefier clutch.

regarding oil consumption does anyone know how many litres of oil the F20C takes to fill up from the Low marker on the dipstick to the HIgh marker?
going to do a search and check the owners manual now
