Default Cease And Desist Order From Honda

We recieved today a cease and desist order from honda for the use the S 2000 logo on some of our items. We will be liquidating the shirts, hats, jackets and other items over the next 10 days. These items were made because S 2000 owners had an interest in them. These items un-like the products we produce (i.e. grills, bumper protectors etc) were sold with little or no profit and produced for you the owners. Honda does not offer any of these products, and now no one will offer S2000 hats, shirts, jackets to you the owners.

I am currently compiling the inventory of items we have left, and will be posting the items and specials in the coming days.

This was also written as a heads up to other companies, and this forum that I am posting on. Honda may try to stop the S 2000 community, only time will tell.

Regards,
David McCune Jr.

Sorry to hear that, David. They really should be selling the same type of merchandise that you offer before bringing a case against you (IMO).

I think Honda is protecting their dealers. I know mine has all sorts of merchandise in several display cases.

In any case it is free advertising for them to sell more cars...do you think they really make enough off of selling t-shirts that it would hurt having a couple thousand people advertising Honda S2000's on a daily basis. Seems fairly ignorant to me from a practical business standpoint.

Heheh,

Just keep it up, Honda. Highly unlikely I will be buying another of your products after the S2000.

I wish there was something we (owners) could do to help your situation.

Speaking from personal experience, your products and service are top notch.

I will keep an eye out for your remaining items and specials. I am interested in the following items:

Honda S2000 Short Sleeve T-Shirt, Large, Black
Honda S2000 Long Sleeve T-Shirt, Large, Navy
Honda S2000 Logo Soft Brief Bag, Silver Logo
