CF HardTOP
Anyone know what goes in the RED holes? Theres 2 holes on both sides near the rear glass area. The BLUE lines show where the rear weatherstripping goes into, so if anyone knows if the other 4 HOLES are suppose to have something let me know.
ps. The top has been on my car for about 2 weeks w/o any issues so let me know if its neccessary https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...age&img=285318 |
I know the stock hardtop has a metal bracket on each side in that area. Maybe thats what there for.

and what do these metal brackets connect to on the car?
|
isnt that where you put your mugen badge
...the metal brackets rest on the soft top - they keep it from moving I guess |

You can see the OEM equipment in this PDF install guide: http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000/s2k2top.pdf |

The metal bracket connect to catches that are installed on the inside of the rear quarters behind the seat. Right where that brushy thing is, there is a hole on the hardtop catch that the OEM tops come with. On the top, there are two spear looking things that stick down and latch into the holes. On an OEM top, those are two of the four total connections to the body (not counting the defrost connection).

No I don't think we are talking about the same ones. The ones I'm talking about are under the rear glass. They are there to make sure the soft top doesn't bounce around and don't connect to anything, they just rest on the soft top.
