Cliff Notes: Guy wants to trade in his S for a G35 coupe, but is told by a great majority of the G owners to stick with the S.
It was nice to see the positive comments left by the G crowd, but given the situation, it really was the no-brainer decision. The guy already had 2 other cars to drive during the week (TL and an FX, IIRC). Still, it was nice. I liked how one person noted how the it seemed like they were in a Honda forum:

haha I wanted (REALLY wanted) a G35 Coupe before I got the s2k. good to know I didn't make the wrong decision
but the forum guys have a really good point...the TL and FX are already pretty rad daily driver cars. I'd damn near be eternally content if I had those cars alongside the S

If only the G35 had a convertible option...
The "G" is a beautiful car, especially the cockpit interior. The exterior is classier than the S's. And the miniature backseat would come in handy sometimes. But for me, No DropTop, No Deal.

TRUE..
About the dude, though, I don't know what was he thinking. He has TL and FX, but still not enough to conduct business with, ..I smell fish.
If you're reading this, the S is probably too pure for you, dude. Look at you, you don't have a guts to do anything with it, and still need other people to convince you to buy another car you like, ..pathetic..

Lately I wish our community could be more like that.
Not to bash the G35 forum, but is this the only link you've looked at over there? They may have had their ugly posts too, maybe not. You just can't make a blanket assumption about a forum like this from one thread.
